10. Hole in the Aeroplane Windows
Have you ever wondered why do holes on the windows of the flight exists? Well, do not worry they are actually for the passenger’s safety. This tiny window hole is known as bleed hole and is sandwiched between two other panes of acrylic material.
The first pane is the pane that you can touch inside the cabin, next to that we have the pane that has the bleed hole and finally covered by the most important outer pane, which actually protects you from the outer pressure. This bleed hole equilibrates the air pressure in between the passenger cabin and the air gap between panes.
09. Bumps of the F & J Keys on Keyboards
We all must have noticed these indentations on the F & J keys on our keyboard while typing. But do you know why these are placed on the keyboard? The indentations are actually present for the people who mostly do touch typing i.e. typing without looking down on the keys.
The indentations allow to place the index fingers on the F & J key, which in turn allows the user to have control over the entire keyboard.
08. Rings on the Earphone Jack
Ever wondered why you have these ring strips on your earphone jack? These strips are not for some design or fancy looks, but are actually present for insulation. As you can see here the insulation here separates the connecting parts, thereby disallowing them from being cross connected. Most commonly, the top part in the iPhone earphones is for mic, followed up by ground and finally right and left. But these tend to change based on different manufactures and earphone designs.
07. Dimples on the Golf Ball
Now this fact is really amazing and relates to the aerodynamics. The dimples present on golf ball is just not for design purpose but has a strong reason for existence, which makes the golf ball fly with a tremendous velocity in the air.
The reason why we do not use smooth golf ball is, because a smooth golf ball can only travel half a distance than a golf ball with dimples. Most golf balls have 300 to 500 dimples on them. The dimples on the golf ball creates turbulence in the air, due to which the separation of ball from air is delayed and allows the ball to travel a much farther distance than a smooth ball as it is unable to create the turbulence in the air.
06. Panty Gusset
Females must have seen this small pocket in their panties. These pockets are known as panty gusset and is created really for the cause of hygiene. This is mostly made from cotton for the purpose of hygiene and absorbency. These gussets help in increase of the thickness, thereby providing better absorbency and hygiene conditions for a bit longer time then the ones which do not have a gusset.

If you do not know about it, then turn around your toothpaste tube, and near the crimp, you can see a small little color square, something like this. The color of the square denotes the type of material with which your toothpaste is made. So, let’s check out what the color codes here mean.
Green square means your toothpaste has natural ingredients, blue square for natural + medicinal. While red square toothpaste has natural + chemical compositions and sorry to say if you are using a black square toothpaste, then your toothpaste is purely made from chemicals.

We all must have used gel ink pens to get beautiful handwriting. But you can see this different type of liquid at the top of ink in your pen’s refill. This liquid is known as stopper liquid and is a thick gel that prevents the ink to flow out from the refill through the top opening.
